Today I worked on a couple of new features for the site. The first was simply to turn the title of each weblog entry into a link. That way, if you want to link directly to one of my posts, it’s easy. I should have implemented that when I added the archive, but I forgot.
The second feature is a new commenting facility. Earlier, I added the little comment form at the top of the blog. All that does is send me a copy of the comment in email (and saves a backup in the database). However, this new comment feature allows you to post a comment about a particular post. Other people will be able to read your comments. Heck, they might even comment on your comment! Wouldn’t that be exciting? I, for one, am very excited.
Oh, another thing about posting comments. The site will give you a cookie that it will keep for 7 days. The cookie contains your name, email address, and url. That way, you don’t have to type that stuff in every time you post. Neat, eh?

I’m commenting on my own post because I want to prove that commenting actually works. If I really had something additional to say at this time, then I would have posted it. Duh?
